The Olive Grove Interpretation Centre “Mare Oleum” has received a grant from the European Union and the “Junta de Andalucía”, through the “Grupo de Desarrollo Rural del Litoral de la Janda y de Los Alcornocales”, under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. This aid is included within the framework of submedia 19.2 del Programa de Desarrollo Rural De Andalucía 2014-2020.
The aim of the project is to offer a space related to olive oil and olive groves, where visitors can discover, learn about and taste olive oil, offering visitors training activities, tasting initiation, gastronomic courses and workshops, promotion of ecological agriculture and a museum space related to agricultural activity. The project incorporates the tourist activity into the agricultural holding owned by the promoter.
