Fruits bathed by the Costa de la Luz

We are in a strategic location and not just for the views. Our centre is situated just off the coast of Trafalgar and as you probably already know… We are surrounded by villages of great historical importance!

What did the advent of cultivation mean for the populations?

Historically, we know that the olive groves and vineyards led to the settlement of these villages, as it was necessary for someone to settle down to look after and look after the production. This change from a nomadic to a sedentary population made it possible to enjoy very rich cultivation areas with specific properties that had much to do with the proximity to the coast.

Now, olive groves are usually in the mountains, right?

Olive trees are grown there because the land is more difficult to cultivate and less fertile… The land near the sea is very rich and is normally used for other crops.

That is why we say that this olive grove is extraordinary. Growing on the Costa de la Luz has its peculiarities and benefits.

Here the temperature is dampened and the ripening of the fruit is different, the olives are getting bigger every day! And to see them grow every day is a privilege.

Our olive trees, bathed by the breeze from the Cadiz coast, undergo a much earlier process of growth and ripening. The fruit is home to a unique nuance and the maritime essence that surrounds us, all of which gives us a production marked by the climatic and geographical characteristics of the region.

It’s getting closer and closer to harvesting these fruits, so make a note of the date! The next harvest will take place between the end of September and the beginning of October.

We are looking forward to sharing this important moment with you so that you can enjoy our organic extra virgin olive oil.
